ENcome All Meeting – when a distance of 15.000 km becomes 0

After five long years, it was about time to happen again. During the week of September 12th 2022, the major part of our staff took the trip to our headquarter in Austria to meet, greet and mingle with colleagues from all offices.

Colleagues that work together daily, but with a physical distance of sometimes over 15.000 km, got the chance to finally catch up in person. “Spectacular, fabulous, superb – it is hard to find the right words to describe the energy and advantage that this meeting created between our staff from seven different country organisations and more than 20 nationalities”, says Jörg Christiansen, CEO of ENcome Group.

Besides the social part including a Welcome BBQ, social activities under heavy rain, which the team still took with a smile and our big 10-year celebration, we used the time for teamwork, trainings and workshops to improve our service offerings.

One workshops topic was ‘remote supported operations’ and it covered the introduction to the software "Acty" and trained the usage of it in combination with Smart Glasses which will be used future wise in the daily operations.  Our technicians can always draw back on the 24/7 monitoring center when alone on site. But being able to share their vision, with Ops IT or another trained technician will allow us to increase uptime of our client’s solar plants.

“It was very refreshing to see over 70 employees from seven offices socialize with big smiles on their faces” comments COO Sebastian Nieding. Simon Commons, Country Manager of ENcome Australia adds “the 24-hour trip each way was worth it, meeting the team, putting faces to names and observing the different O&M practices added a different perspective.  It is very different messaging and meeting through online services to having a casual conversation in the same room, there is a greater knowledge share through local interaction.”
